Finishing Touches | Candles, Flowers, Bowls Oh My!

This week, I took a much needed trip to Homesense to pick up what should have been 'bits and bobs for the kitchen'.

Is it ever really bits and bobs though? Absolutely not.

If you want to see what I actually picked up, keep reading!

Tobacco candles are my absolute favorite at the moment. The scents are so unique and no two smell the same. They are definitely a more masculine scent but are all gorgeous. All of these candles are by the brand, DW Home and were all under £7.99.

I also finally found some hydrangea stems there are perfectly white, full and really inexpensive. I'd shopped around in Ikea, Dunelm and John Lewis but hadn't managed to find any of this quality at a decent price point. These were only £2.49 per stem - I picked up 6.

Lastly, I picked up a set of four bowls - ooh exciting. As our dinner set is whiter than white I've been searching high and low for some accent bowls. I found some beautiful ones in Anthropologie but decided they weren't really in my price range at the moment. I fell in love with these ones there and then and they were just £3.49 each.

I must say, house shopping is my absolute favorite kind of shopping. Even though we bought our house way over 6 months ago now, we're still adding to it all the time and I love that.

Do you know any home ware stores I should check out?

  1. I love Homesense. Visiting that place is downright dangerous! I can never leave empty handed as there's always something that catches my eye :-) Tobacco candles sound interesting, and £8 isn't too bad a price either.

    1. I know right, I refer to it as 'The shop full of things I don't actually need' - needless to say, it doesn't help. Tobacco candles are gorgeous, you should definitely try one!
