Choosing Our Summer Holiday

Now, I know I’m not the only one who dreams of jetting off to somewhere hot when it rains in the UK and on one wet and windy Thursday back in May, I knew it was time to start looking.

I looked on what felt like every single travel and holiday website and just couldn’t find anything that suited. I knew I wanted to go to somewhere in Greece and that it needed to be in September. That was it.

I ruled out Santorini pretty early on (sob) as it wasn’t really in my price range after splurging on Las Vegas back in March - Goodbye Instagram worthy photos. I ruled out Kavos in fear of it being Magaluf's twin sister and also ruled out Zante for the same reasons - I went to Magaluf back when I was 18. Most unrelaxing holiday ever.

So, after searching and searching and you guessed more searching I knew in the back of my mind that the old faithful Thomson would eventually come through. Besides Las Vegas, I’ve used Thomson for holidays for 3 or 4 years now. Their holidays, for me, are great value, the booking and traveling process is simple and the service they provide both in the UK and abroad is great! High five Thomson.

As soon as I saw this hotel I knew that was where we were going to go. The white buildings, location and blue waters sold me - not to mention the all inclusive!
Now that the countdown is into real numbers, I’m getting really excited. I’ve picked up a few gorgeous beach dresses and sandals from Asos and I’m looking for some good swimsuits - any excuse to not have to non-flaunt it in a bikini. I’m picturing my breakfast filled with mimosas and Greek Yogurts. What could possibly be better?

Have you ever been to Kos or on any beach holiday for that matter? I’d love to hear recommendations of places to go and things to see and do. Let me know!
