Make Up Must Haves - Your Capsule Make Up Bag

Creating A Capsule Make Up Bag
The make-up industry is at it's peak and brands are launching more and more exciting products every month. This is great news for our faces but bad news for our bank balances and with all the choice, whether your swatching at the drug store or department store, it can be hard to know what you need and what works.

I've put together a capsule make up bag with a few of my personal must-haves. I've picked these by product type and my favourite of that kind. I'd like to think that with this selection of beauty faves, I could conquer any day.
Creating A Capsule Make Up Bag
Concealer A good concealer should be blendable, buildable and have great coverage. One that you can use as little  or as much as you want and it doesn't look cakey. The Maybelline Fit Me concealer is a great dupe for the Nars Creamy concealer and I honestly can't fault it.

Highlighter A beautiful champagne highlighter is a must have in my make up bag. One with a great consistency that doesn't leave any fall down, look glazed on the skin or appear to have flecks of glitter. The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is still the best highlighter I've ever used and so affordable.

CC Cream CC Cream is a product I've been using for some time now, especially in summer months. A good find is one that provides a dewy and light coverage while correctly colour problems on your skin. I love the Bourjois 123 CC Cream. Try it, you won't regret it.

Bronzer I was on the hunt for so long for a bronzer that wasn't orange and had no shimmer and I can't believe I hadn't tried Benefits Hoola. It's the most beautiful colour and can be used for both bronzing and contouring - Win.

Eye Brows I've spent years finding a go-to product to fill in my eyebrows and keep them in place all day. The Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil is just that. I've almost ran out of this one and it's easy to see why. It makes applying the product so easy and with so many shades to choose from, it's easy to find one that matches.

Tools Now, I don't always believe that you need tools in order to apply your make up but for me, there are some I couldn't live without. The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is the first, I use one of these every single day for anything from foundation to eye shadow primer.

Mascara A good mascara is the key in any make up bag and sometimes I leave the house wearing only that. For me, the mascara needs be the blackest black, not have any clumps or fibers and also have great hold power. Benefit's They're Real has been a staple in my makeup bag ever since it was released.

Moisturiser When choosing a moisturiser for a capsule make up bag rather than everyday, it had to one that could rescue any situation from a flaky forehead to dry lips. This Elizabeth Arden Original Eight Hour Cream does just that. You can use as much or as little as you want and it's definitely worth investing in.

Primer A primer should minimize the appearance of your pores, mattify your skin and smooth out your skins texture. My personal favourites are Benefit's Porefessional  or Smashbox's Photo Finish. Sometimes I use this all over my face, other times just on and around my nose.

Falsies I think it's great to have a brand of false eyelashes that you reach for time and time again. For me that brand is Eylure and more specifically the Fleur De Force range. My picks are Fleur Loves or the individuals.

Nude Lipstick A nude lipstick is a must for any make up bag and can look completely effortless no matter what make up look you are wearing. I love the shade 08 from Rimmel Kate, it goes with every look and every outfit so I always keep one in my bag.

Setting Spray I have normal to combination skin so when it comes to setting my make up I'd rather not use a powder in case it exaggerate my dry skin or clings to make up the wrong way. To combat this I use a setting spray. My go to is Urban Decay's De-Slick.

I'd love you know if you've tried these products and what you think of them. Be sure to share your recommendations in the comments!
