L'Oreal Hydra Genius Review

L'Oreal Hydra Genius Review
Flicking through last months Cosmopolitan I came across a shiny turquoise sample. Now I would normally toss it to one side for a rainy day but I knew that this would be different. This wasn't just any sample, it was the brand new L'Oreal Hydra Genius.

Over the next few days, I put it to the test at every opportunity and as my sample soon ran low I dashed right out to pick up a full bottle. This was a moisturiser that I was committed to trying and that I was excited to use more of.

The Hydra Genius moisturiser claims to have a water-like texture and be instantly absorbed. It also says that it penetrates skin deep for a healthy glow. I couldn't wait to share my thoughts because, let's face it, who wouldn't be excited to try this for themselves?

I have to start by saying, it really is like nothing I've ever felt before. It's so smooth in consistency but it's not like a cream or a serum. The only way I can describe it is like a water that you can just work into your skin. It's bizarre yet innovative and I'm hooked.

For me, this product doesn't leave any residue what-so-ever on my skin but it some how manages to moisturise beautifully. It smooths my skin over almost like a primer which makes it a fantastic base for make up and also, I don't feel like my skin gets dry throughout the day when using this.

In case you were wondering, my skin is combination but I've tested both the Normal to Combination and the Normal to Dry formulas. The Normal to Dry works best for me and I apply it twice to feel like I'm fully moisturised. I could skip this if I wanted to, I just like the extra moisture surge. Overtime, I probably won't need to but at the moment it's such a different way of moisturising - I don't think I'm used to it yet.

Overall I've been using this product for almost a month and I'm still just as impressed as when I first used it.

If you haven't tried it yet, you can pick it up from Boots for £6.65. If you have, I'd love to know your thoughts!
