6 Things I'd Do If I Travelled To Marbella

6 Things I'd Do If I Travelled To Marbella
If you've read any of my previous travel posts, you'll know that my travel bucket list is quiet varied. I'm a lover of big cities, small beach towns and of course, everything in between. Surprisingly, until now, somewhere I've never considered is Marbella.

My hairdresser could talk about it from dawn until the sun goes down and though her stories of lavish cocktails and swish boat parties are ridiculously impressive – Now I know what my blow dry pays for – it hadn’t popped into my mind until now.

Since doing my research, I've actually realised that the Costa del Sol is more than just a hotspot for reality TV stars. While my wishlist of places to visit is quiet eclectic, I'm now certain that Marbella is definitely a destination that has plenty to offer and with that in Mind, I thought I'd share with you six things I'd do if I was ever lucky enough to travel there.

Travel with friends I mentioned back in my birthday post last year that some things are better when done with your friends. There's no doubt that the Marbella climate is perfect for not only recharging but also relaxing with sun, sea and friends. Though travelling with friends is great, I'd also like a little privacy. With a little look into Marbella apartments to rent, I don't think this would be too difficult. Plus, having a great place to stay is pretty solid foundation for any great trip.

Rent a car We've never actually rented a care while we've been a way but if we went to Marbella, I'd definitely consider it. With towns like Malaga, Torremolinos and Estepona so close by, it'd be a shame not to take advantage. I love going out and exploring when I'm away so this would be the perfect opportunity.

Visit the Old Quarter Marbella's Old Quarter would be an absolute essential for me. It's the exact kind of place I'd love to explore and would actually be the perfect location for a romantic evening stroll. I imagine the relaxed vibes and sheer beauty would provide hours of beauty for solo travellers, groups of friends or even just you and your partner. Also, I love the idea of trying some authentic Spanish cuisine which for me, would probably be a highlight of the trip.

La Concha I love getting out while we're away so hiking the area around La Concha seems right up my street. There's nothing quite like the simple joy of overcoming a physical challenge like climbing a mountain and if you follow my Instagram, you'll know that I'm trying to up my fitness game. I probably wouldn't be able to climb a mountain anytime soon but having seen the beauty of Marbella in countless photos, seeing the surroundings both in person and up high would be amazing.

Water Sports It's been so long since I've done any water sports but it's something that I absolutely love and it makes me think back to holidays with my family years ago. Jet skiing and paragliding are some of my faves but I think it'd give something like snorkelling a go for a change. Plus, I always feel so inspired seeing photos from under the see so it'd probably be the perfect time to invest in a new camera. I find sea life so fascinating so the opportunity to see if up close would be great!

Nightlife Let's not forget about nightlife! I'm all for relaxing in the sun and eating amazing food but since Marbellas nightlife is some of the best in Europe, I couldn't pass up the chance to give it a try - Especially if I was travelling with friends.

I hope this has given you some inspiration for booking a trip sometime soon. I'd love to know if you've been to Marbella and what your thoughts were.
